Itinerary Overview
This 5-day safari explores Tarangire, home to the “giants”—towering baobabs and vast elephant herds—before venturing into the Serengeti, a breathtaking “sea of grass” renowned for its expansive plains and rich wildlife. Experience the Ngorongoro Crater’s diverse ecosystem, home to the Big Five, and conclude with a visit to Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions. This adventure blends iconic landscapes and thrilling wildlife for an unforgettable African journey.
Highlights:
Day 1: Arrival activity:
On your arrival at the airport, meet and greet with our representative. Transfer to Arusha for a night stay at Tulia Boutique Hotel Arusha (Bb/Bed and breakfast)
Distance: 55km from Kilimanjaro Airport. Time: 1.5 hours
Day 2: Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park-Karatu.
This day after breakfast, you drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park, which is known for its tree climbing Lions. In the park you will be passing next to the long tailed Blue monkeys, baboons, water back, Impala and elephants. The Park also has a high number of migratory or seasonal birds as storks, pelican and flamingo. After a picnic lunch in the park, around noon, the tour continues through the National Park to observe the fantastic wildlife a little bit more. Later on you leave the Park and drive to Karatu where you will overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn lodge (full board)

Day 3: Karatu- Serengeti
In the morning you drive to Serengeti National Park where breathtaking landscapes, endless horizons an abundant wildlife await you. The Serengeti is a UNESCO-World Heritage Site and the second largest National Park in Tanzania. On the way to the Serengeti, you will pass nearby ‘Olduvai Gorge’ – the understanding of early human evolution – that belongs to one of the world’s most famous archaeological excavation and which is part of the East African rift valley. On arrival in the Serengeti you will enjoy an evening game drive. Today you will have an overnight stay at Serengeti Heritage tented camp (fb/full board)’.

Day 4: Serengeti- Ngorongoro Conservation Area-Karatu
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera, harboring a dense population of wildlife, including the Big Five. The area is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, combining wildlife conservation with Maasai pastoralism. The crater floor’s diverse ecosystems, from forests to lakes, support over 25,000 large animals. The area’s unique blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and abundant wildlife makes it one of Africa’s most remarkable destinations. You will have a half day of the Crater tour. Later drive to Karatu for overnight at ‘Eileen’s Tree Inn Lodge (fb/full board).

Day 5: Karatu – Tarangire-Arusha.
This day, after breakfast, we drive south East of Karatu to Tarangire National Park, which has one of the highest elephant population throughout Tanzania. His sparse vegetation is strewn with baobab- and acacia trees, thus making it a very special place. Before the rainy season begins, droves of gazelles, wildebeest, zebras and giraffes are in the National Park, where they will remain for the last pasture. A large number of elephants and eland live in the park as well as the Thompson`s gazelle and the hartebeest just as lions, leopards and cheetahs. Lunch at the picnick site then later after noon drive back to the Airport. End of the Tour.
