Itinerary Overview
This 6-day safari highlights Tanzania’s majestic elephants in Tarangire, where the largest herds roam among ancient baobabs. The adventure continues in the Serengeti, renowned for its unmatched population of big cats, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Highlights:
Day 1: Arrival activity:
On your arrival at the airport, meet and greet with our representative. Transfer to Arusha for a night stay at Pazuri Inn Lodge Arusha or similar (Hb/Half board) bases
Distance: 57 km Time: 1.5 hour
Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire National Park-Karatu
This day, after breakfast, we drive southwest of Arusha to Tarangire National Park, which has one of the highest elephant population throughout Tanzania. Its sparse vegetation is strewn with baobab- and acacia trees, thus making it an ideal place for wildlife viewing. In the dry season, droves of gazelles, wildebeest, zebras and giraffes are in the National Park, where they will remain for the last pasture till the beginning of the short rains in November. A large number of elephants than nowhere else in the northern Tanzania live in the park as well as the lions, leopards and cheetahs. Towards evening you will be driven to Eileen’s tree Inn lodge (fb/full board) where you will stay for a night.

Day 3: Karatu - Serengeti National Park
In the morning you drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation area where breathtaking landscapes, endless horizons an abundant wildlife await you. The Serengeti is a UNESCO-World Heritage Site and the second largest National Park in Tanzania. On the way to the Serengeti wild life sporting is guarantee, so you will have game drive in root towards the Central Part of the Serengeti. Later in the evening you will arrival at the camp for overnight stay at Into wild Tented Camp (fb/ full board)’

Day 4: Serengeti National Park
Today you can enjoy a full day of the impressive diversity of wildlife in at the central part of the Serengeti which is the ideal place to watch the impressive wild life in Africa.The endless plains of the Serengeti provides a truly exceptional landscape which lends itself for great wildlife viewing and makes your safari to an impressive experience. You will see elephants, hippos, lions, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, leopards and more in the wild. Today you will stay for another night at Into wild Tented Camp (fb/ full board)’

Day 5: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Conservation Area-Karatu
In the morning, early after breakfast, your journey starts with a drive from your camp in the Serengeti to the crater. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera, harboring a dense population of wildlife, including the Big Five. The area is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, combining wildlife conservation with Maasai pastoralism. The crater floor’s diverse ecosystems, from forests to lakes, support over 25,000 large animals. The area’s unique blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and abundant wildlife makes it one of Africa’s most remarkable destinations. You will have a half day of the Crater tour. Then drive to Karatu for an overnight at Eileen’s tree Inn lodge (fb/full board).
Distance: 220 km Day distance. Time: 8-9 hours
Day 6: Karatu – Arusha
After breakfast you will start your journey back to Arusha. During the descent down from the highlands to the valley you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful views across the Rift Valley. Arrive in Arusha for your flight to Zanzibar from Arusha Airport or to your next destination according to your holiday.
